Although fully grown Tim only measures approximately three inches and weighs just 51 grams which is ten times smaller than your average juvenile hedgehog.."Tim currently only weighs 51 grams and the average hedgehog of his age weighs 500 grams" said Les Stocker founder of the hospital."I don't think he knows quite how small he is. He doesn't seem to be bothered by his size and appears to be very confident" Tiny Tim was found in a street in Buckingham by a member of the public last week and was taken to St Tiggywinkles with an initial leg injury. After being given the all clear staff decided to continue to care for him because he is so small. "We don't know why he is so tiny. It might be a genetic problem. He is eating well and we are hoping he'll grow. If he doesn't get any bigger we will keep him at the hospital for his own safety. He seems to be enjoying his time here and has settled in nicely".
